Career Fairs
Meet with students and alumni seeking career and internship opportunities.
University of Baltimore's Career and Internship Center follows an industry model, where students and alumni meet with career specialists specific to their school of study. This method has proven to be successful in getting students prepared for what employers are seeking within a variety of industries. Thus, we have created our career fair line up to mirror our coaching model. You have the ability to select the fair(s) you would like to participate in, based off of your organization's overall industry and/or the way in which your recruitment needs match to the industry and/or the way in which your recruitment needs match to the industry of a specific career fair. -
Information Sessions
Speak directly to students while presenting a career development topic.
Present to students about open opportunities in one of our classrooms or meeting rooms. Information sessions typically begin with a presentation or panel discussion that introduces your organization and its employment needs, followed by a Q&A and/or networking session. Information sessions are a great lead-in for our career fairs or on-campus interviewing. -
Visibility tables
Introduce your company to students.
Host an informal information table on campus to promote your company and your employment/internship opportunities. Tables are staffed by representatives of your organization and are free of charge. -
Employer-led workshops
Connect with students while presenting a career development topic.
Interact with students directly in the classroom, while providing valuable insight and advice. Students will gain an understanding of your organizational values, cultures, and dedication to their professional development. If you are interested in speaking in the classroom or meeting with a student organization, our office will work with you to solidify a date. Schedule your workshop here.

JoB LOCATION AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (JLD)
This program comes from the U.S. Department of Education, administered at the University of Baltimore's Career and Internship Center. The purpose is to locate and develop off-campus job opportunities for students, at local nonprofit organizations. Through this program, UBalt students are paid via their Federal Work Study (FWS) dollars.

Site Supervisor Requirements
- Provide an opportunity for the student to contribute to your organization, while receiving job guidance and feedback, which allows them to grow in their career development journey.
- Allow the student to complete an informational interview with a leader within your site, so that they are able to learn more about the organization.
- Complete an online performance evaluation of the student at the end of their time with the organization.
- Attend the annual JLD Networking event badging ceremony (if schedules allow).
